If I'm trying to edit Instrument #2, as soon as I touch a knob on that instrument, Instrument #1 plays. This makes it nearly impossible to do anything within Kontakt. Now, whenever I go to make an adjustment to an instrument, the simple act of clicking on Kontakt forces it back to the first instrument (because it's selecting the channel where Kontakt is sitting, I guess). I've gotten as far as having each instrument route to individual channels, and all seems great. I am setting up a template in FL Studio to run multiple instruments from a single instance of Kontakt. I'm in the early learning phase with both applications, so I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. I am having a terribly annoying time with Kontakt in FL Studio.
